My KYC Request was Rejected
Helpdesk Article: My KYC Request was Rejected
If your KYC (Know Your Customer) request was rejected, it might be due to an issue with the documentation or the photo you submitted. To successfully complete your KYC verification, please follow the steps below for the third photo upload:
Step-by-Step Guide for Third Photo Upload
Prepare Your Documents:
- Make sure you have a valid government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license, national ID card).
Handwritten Note:
- Write the following on a piece of paper:
[Your Full Name]
[Today's Date]
"All actions on FOKAWA are performed by myself, and I am aware of the risks and willing to take all legal consequences."
Take a Photo:
- Hold your valid government-issued ID in one hand.
- Hold the handwritten note in the other hand.
- Make sure both the ID and the note are clearly visible in the photo.
- Ensure that your face is fully visible and that the text on the ID and the note is legible.
Upload the Photo:
- Log in to your Fokawa account.
- Navigate to the KYC verification section.
- Upload the photo you took as per the instructions above.
Tips for a Successful Upload
- Clarity: Ensure the photo is clear and all text is readable.
- Lighting: Use good lighting to avoid shadows on your face, ID, or the note.
- No Obstructions: Make sure nothing obstructs any part of your face, ID, or the handwritten note.
Common Reasons for Rejection
- Blurry photo or unreadable text.
- Incomplete or incorrect handwritten note.
- ID not clearly visible or not a valid government-issued ID.
- Handwritten note missing required information.
